Backup of digital microwave links
With the opportunity to double transmission capacity
Combining CONFORM indoor units (IDU) and WAVEFORM outdoor units (ODU) enables you to create very sophisticated system with wide range of interfaces and user configurations.
Beside the basic configuration of type 1+0, you can operate the system in backup configuration 1+1 or 2+0 (2+0 advanced).
The system works in licensed bandwidth from 7 GHz to 38 GHz with transmission speed of 8 Mbps (standard E2) or 34 Mbps (standard E3).
1+1 Multiplexer
CONFORM-2S indoor units are used in this modification. They provide you with two independent outputs. You can utilize one output as main PtP connection and the second as a PtP backup connection. These two outputs ensure automatic backup with hot-standby function.
IDU CONFORM-2S allows you to multiplex up to 16 output channels choosen from E1 (G.703) input ports and 4 × 100BaseTx ports with the optional function of merging the capacity for Ethernet data transfers.
2+0 (2+0 advanced) Configuration
CONFORM-2S indoor units are used in this backup modification with 16 E1 (G.703) ports and 4 100BaseTx ports. The capacity for Ethernet data transfer is marged not only for one multiplexer but for the whole system. You can therefore create PtP connection with data throughput of 65.536 Mbps by using two parallel microwave links. Furthermore, in the case of canceled communication on one microwave line in the advanced mode, there will be automatic switchover on the second line. Transfer rate is 68.736 Mbps.
